Weekends are probably the only time I have to create personal art. After spending a few years of primarily learning digital art, I've decided to come back to traditional art once again- which is what I like to do best!
The subjects this time are cats and succulents, also a little bit of ice cream on the side :p I did quite a few experiments when it comes to mixing greens: green-blue, yellow-green, greenish-brown, etc.
For the cats, I didn't want to go too detail and paint out every single fur, whiskers, reflection in the eyes, just about everything else when it comes to painting something realistic. Thus a more simplistic approach is the way to go.
Once the paintings are finished, I ran a scan of each at high resolution, then began to clean up the rough edges, dust & debris that accumulated during the scanning process:
These cat silhouette designs are then made into digital clipart, which can be found in my Etsy shop: https://t.co/Dt8WO7RMCI
Now to work on the cactus batch next... But that will be for another blog update! Stay tuned!
Everyday is full of surprises! This blog will feature behind the scenes (and work-in-progress) of our artwork and products :)
